Patients' rights
1. The patient has the right to health services, provided by the Polish Medical Air Rescue, in accordance with the principles described in the Rules of Order of the Polish Medical Air Rescue.
2. The patient has the right to grant him health care benefits, by persons entitled to the grant, using the devices corresponding to the specific professional requirements, regarding to the specified standards and due carefulness of medical staff.
3. The patient has the right to information about his health status and access to his medical records.
4. The patient has the right to approve or refuse to grant him certain health benefits, especially related to the air transport, after obtaining the affordable adequate information, including the acceptance or refusal to carry him to the appropriate health care center.
5. The patient has the right to privacy and dignity while receiving treatment, with respect for privacy, religious and cultural beliefs.
6. The patient has the right to provide him free pharmaceuticals, medical supplies necessary for providing health care benefits, according to the standard equipment.
7. The patient has the right to protect his personal data.
Parent / guardian and the injured child
1. In the case of sudden illness / accident of your child, there is a possibility that medical care will be provided by the Polish Medical Air Rescue crew (HEMS crew).
2. HEMS helicopters are equipped with high-quality medical equipment, dedicated also to children.
3. Any child, who requires the transport using HEMS helicopter, gets from the HEMS crew the cuddly - "Rescue Bear".
4. On the board of the helicopter, your child is safe under the care of HEMS crew.
5. In the case of the transport of your baby by the helicopter from the accident scene to the hospital, please use the following advices:
• if you have other children, please call the closest family or friends and ask them to care for them,
• take the child health book from home and possibly medical records from previous stays in hospitals
• think about how you can quickly get to the hospital (especially mother),
• check the house and turn off all electrical appliances, oven and stove, close windows and doors,
• prepare yourself for an overnight stay at the hospital,
• carefully drive the car.
