Helicopter danger zones

Helicopter danger zones

1. During the landing, engine shut down, start-up and off, generally at the time when the rotor is rotating - is strictly forbidden for anyone to approach the HEMS designated helicopter landing pad or getting closer than a distance of 30 meters.
2. A gust of the rotor creates the possibility of undermine loose items (eg. linen from stretchers, film, snow, dust). This can cause a threat to the people in the close surrouning and to the helicopter.
3. Beware of rotating blades and tail rotor!
4. Do not pass in the vicinity of the helicopter tail propeller!
5. Never go near the helicopter from the rising slope! Watch out for the main rotor blades!
6. Always approach the helicopter from it’s side!
7. After the transfer of patient, contact with the crew only by making radio calls or visually – do not get close to the helicopter!
