Hiring criteria for pilots/HEMS helicopter commanders
- valid commercial or airline transport helicopter pilot license;
- valid aeromedical certificate (class 1 – for commercial operations, single-pilot crew, passenger transport);
- minimum 1.000 flight hours as pilot-in-command (PIC), of which at least 500 hours must be on helicopters;
- confirmed by an entry in the pilot's license, knowledge of English at a minimum operational level of 4 (ICAO Level 4).
Additional advantages: a candidate has the following ratings at the recruitment stage: TR EC135, IR(H), FI(H), TRI EC135, IRI(H), IR(A)
Elements of the recruitment process:
- verification of the candidate's CV;
- verification of the candidate in terms of recommendations from the aviation community;
- invitation of the candidate to participate in an interview;
- interview with the candidate (including questions or a test on aviation knowledge: aviation regulations, meteorology, navigation, aerodynamics, and flight mechanics, etc.);
- information about the terms of employment, the further employment procedure, and the process of preparing the candidate for operational use;
- psychological interview/test and assessment;
- decision on the implementation of the employment procedure.
